Food Out is the energy your body expends in a day. Everyone’s body has a caloric balance. In other words, the food you eat is turned into energy to make your body work and think. This caloric balance is the basis for the Food In = Food Out philosophy.

To track your caloric balance, we recommend our users enter any physical activity beyond your normal day-to-day activities into the Simpleweight exercise journal. These activities, may be running, playing baseball, swimming, exercising, and others. We will then calculate your calories expended (Food Out) and determine your energy burning trends balanced against your eating, weight, BMI, and other biometric trend analysis. To assist you in achieving this balance, we ask you to help us by entering your weight daily, and tracking your eating habits in the food journal.

Is it simple? Yes, it is! Is it easy? Well, we try to make it as easy as possible, but you still have to track your exercise, weight, and food and beverage intake yourself.

Do I have to exercise? No, many people are able to manage their weight (weight loss, weight gain, or stable weight) without exercising and only by adjusting their eating habits. However, many research studies have shown, a healthier, wealthier, and better lifestyle will be had if you do at least 30 minutes of exercise a day.
