Measuring Weight Loss
With simpleweight, you can easily track 10 different body measurements, including:
- Weight
- BMI
- Waist Size
- Hips
- Biceps
- Forearms
- Chest
- Thigh
- Calf
- Blood Pressure
Measuring the body, is a key factor in weight management. Recent scientific research has indicated that individuals who keep track of their weight everyday have greater success for weight management and weight loss.
We feel, if you don’t measure it, you won’t change it.
Therefore, we recommend, that everyone weigh themselves everyday and enter that data into Simpleweight. Using your data, we will provide trend analysis showing how closely you are to meeting your body goals such as gaining weight, losing weight, or improving your fat-to-muscle ratio.
Although your daily weight may fluctuate, your weight trend is what is important. If you trend up-wards, you know you have been eating more than your body needs. If your weight trends down-wards, you know you have been eating less than your body needs. Weight loss is that simple.
The How-To of Simpleweight Measurements
Although we recommended weighing yourself daily, our system will work on a weekly schedule or any schedule for that matter. For example, when you are away from the scale for a few days (vacation, holiday, work, other travel), weigh yourself when you return home and add that entry to Simpleweight. Simpleweight will be able to continue to track your trends. However, the more consistent you are with your weight tracking, the more accurate the tool will be for you.
In a diet and weight article written for WebMD, Dawn Jackson Blatner, RD, spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, describes weighing yourself with:
The 4 S’s of Weighing YourselfWhen you do weigh yourself on a scale, Blatner says you strive for sameness. Weigh yourself at the:
- Same time of day, on the
- Same day each week, wearing the
- Same clothing, and using the
- Same scale
After weighing yourself every day, enter the data into Simpleweight and let us do the rest.
